Best Of...Primark

Granny Gee
Primark at ASOS!

How great is it that ASOS have done the hard work for you and trawled through Primark to find the best pieces!

Here's a few things I've got my eye on!

Wallpaper print body con dress, £10

Floral skater dress (a la Holly Willoughby style), £13

Open back floral dress, £13

Star sweatshirt, £8

The only fault I find with ASOS is that they can't seem to find my house! They've driven past it about three times and I've actually had to run behind the van waving...and they still kept driving! I do live in the middle of nowhere, but still! It's annoying!

Recent Purchases

Back to a fashion post today! I thought I'd post some of my recent purchases (including some birthday pressies!)

From top left (going anti-clockwise) - Floral cami top, New Look. This top is so easy to wear, floaty and summery with a gorgeous pattern that's reminiscent of a Liberty print. This has quickly become a wardrobe staple for me, I've worn it with purple jeans a couple of times and also with a blue body con skirt.

-Black Zodiac sign dress, £28, Topshop. Love this, wore it to the Rolling Stones and I think it's going to carry over from summer to autumn.

-Tresemme Hairspray and Tousled Wave Spray. I love Tresemme hairspray as it smells great, not like some artificial smelling sprays. I'll do a full review of this tousled wave spray, but as a quick sum up: It works well if you use it on tonged (curled) hair, however with my thick hair it didn't give me the tousled wavy look I so long for.

- Kate Mosse Citadel book. Yet to read this, but really looking forward to it!

- Floral skirt from the Topshop sale (only £18!). I love the autumn colours of dusky pink, burnt orange and gold. Just reminds me of fallen leaves on the pavement. Gorgeous!

-Jack Wills Folder. "The pen is mightier than the sword" a quote I wholeheartedly agree with. I'm going to use this folder for my third year work at uni, bought in the sale for £1.50, bargain hunter!

- Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder in Transparent. I've bought this to get rid of a bit of shine when I apply my tinted moisturiser. Review coming soon!

Wish You Were Here...Weather Permitting

I know this has turned into a bit of a music blog in the last few days, but I have another band to rave about! Ever since I heard Take Me Out, back when I was in year 10 or something ridiculous, I have been more than a little in love with Franz Ferdinand (the band, not the dead historical figure, obvs).

Their new album is out at the end of August and they have released the video to their first single, Right Action. Check it people!

I know it's typical Franz, a catchy riff, key change and do do doooos BUT I love it! Something to bop along to in the car that's for sure! I just wish that they played in England more nowadays! I saw them in 2009 at Latitude Fest and (apart from the Rolling Stones gig) that was the best I'd ever been too! They were so upbeat, got everyone dancing and were spot on with their music.

Anyway, I'll try and make my next post a bit more fashion based, but I'll see you...weather permitting!

Whoo Whoo...The Rolling Stones

Yesterday I went to see the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park and, my god, they were amazing! (As a warning this post will be full of endless gibbering about how good they were!)

They started the set with a bang of fireworks and Start me up. Jagger swaggered on (had to write it) in a gold embroidered jacket and Keith rocked up with a burberry tartan scarf draped over one shoulder and his trademark hairband. They are literally too cool! I don't know how they did it at their age (they're nearing seventy) but they had boundless energy! Jagger was dancing around, strutting down the catwalk that stuck out the front of the stage into the audience.

Even Mick Taylor joined them on the stage for a song to reminisce his first ever gig with them in 1969 on that very stage - A-M-AZING!

They played my fave song (Bitch-coz love is a bitch. True story) and finished the encore with Satisfaction! I have to say I think that was the best gig I've ever gone to! They played with such energy and enjoyment that it was just fantastic to be there! And it was lovely to have gone with my dad and brother too! My dad saw them in the 70s and thought they were even better now than back then!

But anyway, I'll stop rambling and post an OOTD for yesterday. Excuse the pitchfork in the foreground, I live on a farm if I haven't mentioned!

Sunhat - old
Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Fatface

Me, Dad and Bro at Hyde Park!

Start Me Up

Todays the day...I'm off to see the Stones! Yusssss!

Pretty god damn excited! My dad has played their songs in our house since I was a wee one so it's nice that I'm going with him and my brother!

I'll do an outfit post later on, but I'm basically wearing a straw trilby, black and white zodiac dress from Topshop (too cool!) and loafers.

Plus I'm taking my new ostrich bag! Beaautiful! Not exactly rock n roll but it'll fit all my stuff in it!

You can find this lovely bag at Miss Selfridge or click here.

I'll take lots of pictures! Have a lovely weekend readers!
