New Geek Glasses!

I needed to get some new glasses last week as unfortunately my eyesight has gotten worse, boo! The upside is that I got to choose some fabulous new geek glasses!

I was thinking after I'd left the opticians how much attitudes towards glasses have changed in the past year or two.

When I first needed glasses, aged 11 or 12, they were seriously uncool. I needed them to see the blackboard so I couldn't not wear them to school. At that age when you're starting to become self aware, it wasn't the best time for me to get glasses, a weight problem and braces. Oh dear!

However, if I was to be a 12 year old nowadays, I would be so cool in my geek glasses! Even models like Cara whatsaname and The Little Mix girls all wear them! I think if I was a pre-teen nowadays I could have a bit more confidence in the way I looked in my glasses, such a shame! But brilliant for kids now. Just because you wear glasses, it doesn't mean you're a geek, it means you can't see what is written in front of you! And now it means you have great style! Woo!!

New Hot Brand: Laura Gravestock

I absolutely love silver jewellery. If you've read some of my previous posts you'll see I'm currently loving silver rings, especially ones featuring hearts!

After seeing the ring on the top right of my selection in this months Cosmo mag, I had to check out jewellery designer, Laura Gravestock's website.

With a huge range of collections, materials and price ranges, I could have chosen so many from the site!

I've done a little collection of my favourite rings but she also does earrings, necklaces and bracelets.

SHOES!

SHOES!

Weirdly enough, I'm not that into shoes, I'm more of a bag gal. But, when I was in M&S the other day checking out their autumn range, I came across these gorgeous mint green heels in the sale for only £11! I was sensible and didn't get them, as I needed practical shoes. Wah!

But when practical shoes look like this, things aren't so bad! These little beauties are going to be great for uni and interning this fall, and they do them in half sizes too! Perfect for my weird ass feet!

Have you bought any cute shoes recently? Or had to leave any gems behind?

Kissing Giraffes

Evening readers! As you'll know, I'm a sucker for a cute animal print! And what could be cuter than giraffes kissing!

This is a lovely little skirt from Topshop, £38.

If I could wear white without throwing food all over myself then I would be snapping this up. However, I'm going to wait and see if they bring it out in another colour, I would be devastated if I ruined the giraffes by spilling baked beans/chocolate/diet coke down them! (I'm very clumsy!)

Met Ball 2013 - Hot or Not?

I'm back! Sorry I haven't posted at all over the bank holiday weekend. I was literally just working on my uni projects, but they are all handed in now - second year is over!! I will definitely be blogging a lot more that summer is here!

I'm really looking forward to this summer. I'm interning once a week at the lovely Velvet Magazine, working at a shop and seeing the Rolling Stones in July! Can't wait!

But onto todays post - this years Met Ball hot or not list! Personally, I thought the outfits at this years event were very strange! Very theatrical or very dull indeed! Here are my thoughts:

Love Zooey D's look - but I miss the fringe. She suits it so well!

As much as I love Beyonce, I thought her skirt with matching thigh high boots were a bit of an odd choice. And as ever Kristen Stewart looked so happy to be there, jokes.

SPOTTED - Hair Trend, Colourful Dip Dyes!

What do you think of what everyone wore?

Spotted: Tangerine Nails

I was watching Made In Chelsea last night, and I noticed a few of the female cast members were wearing tangerine nail polish. Such a lovely summery colour!

So, being a sucker for a nail art trend, I painting my nails orange right away. I think a coral/orange shade might suit this time of year a bit more, but I only had a pumpkin orange in my collection by Rimmel. But it still looks lovely and bright! It's certainly cheering me up as I type my essay (which is currently on hold as I blog, eat ice cream and put cider in the fridge for later!)

Have you got any pretty orange nail varnishes?

TREND: Elephant Prints

Sorry for the lack of posts the last couple of days. Uni deadlines are looming and I've been designing a website for one of my modules and it's been going completely wrong!

I've noticed lots of elephant prints around at the moment. They are so cute! My friends have just got back from Safari (so jel) and they got to see actual elephants! Amazing!

But if you aren't jetting off on Safari, maybe treat yourself to your own little elephant, in fashion form!
